Rex Hosea began his professional career as a field cameraman for ABC Wild World of Sports. He moved on to shoot hard news for Channel 11 in Los Angeles, and then, for over sixteen years he served as a senior cameraman for the Emmy winning internationally syndicated television show, "Entertainment Tonight."
He has photographed many of the famous, infamous and newsworthy faces know to millions throughout the world. In the industry he was referred to as: "The Man with the Golden Eye."
Wild Thyme Catering owner Sally Van Slyke began her first career as a news journalist in Los Angeles. As she recalls "Rex was my cameraman." Of course, Rex remembers it differently, "No, Sally was my reporter."
Reunited after twenty-five years when Rex moved to Walnut Creek in early 2007, Sally soon convinced him to photograph several Wild Thyme weddings just for use on the company web site.
However, as a courtesy and thank you, each couple was given a CD of his photographs. It didn't take too long to become apparent that the newlyweds preferred the pictures Rex took over those taken by the photographer they had hired. often at a great expense.
Rex is now available for freelance photography assignments exclusively for Wild Thyme Catering clients at a price which is more than reasonable.
To book an appointment with him and view his work call, (925) 945-7939 or email waypoints@netscape.com.
